What quick service! I ordered a toy on Wednesday and recieved it on Friday, really quick considering most items take at least a week to arrive to where we are in WA from Eastern States.. havent tried the toy yet as it is a brthday present..
Author: Kyle I bought this Crazy Harry Drinking Bird out of curiosity more than anything else. I had never seen this 'bird' before so I had no idea if it would work as described or not. So I opened the pack, poured water into the glass, dipped its head into the water and watched. The red liquid inside 'magically' began to rise like a thermometer and once it reached a certain height, the weight distribution made the head heavier than the tail causing the Crazy Drinking Bird to dip its beak into the water. The liquid then moved back into the tail causing the bird to tilt back vertically and the whole thing slowly repeated itself over and over. And it's true, so long as there is water in the glass, the bird will never stop doing this which is simply amazing! I now have this bird sitting in my office so whenever anyone enters the room, it usually ends up being a great 'ice' breaker to any conversation. The water will eventually evaporate so you will need to refill the glass from time to time.
Author: Colin I too was a little sceptical at first. Now, having seen it work, I can safely say that it does do what is claimed. And in case you were wondering how much water this bird drinks, it really doesn't drink any water at all. I think the reason why it dips its head into the water is to help change the temperature so the red liquid can react to it. It’s a great little novelty toy. I love it.
Author: Harriet This drinking bird is amazing! Just when you think it wouldn't bob anymore, it just keeps going! The drinking bird brought me and my husband together - his eyes met my drinking bird from across the room (it was perched on my cocktail glass) and we susequently talked for hours. A year later, and we're happily married. We had drinking birds on all of the glasses at our wedding reception, and our guests could not have been more thrilled!!
Do yourself a favour and buy a drinking bird!!!!
Author: Joel M These things are terrific! I had one of these birds in my office not too long ago but found it missing after going on leave. I guess you can't trust anyone these days especially when you have one of these Crazy Birds around the place. So now I'll just have to buy another one but I will NOT be taking it to work any more!
