Inside the barrel the 'corners' of the vanes around the middle of the barrel wear through very quickly and the sludge leaks out. Two questions: where do I buy a replacement barrel? and with what product or plastic glue do I reinforce the 'corners' on the outside? My suggestion would be to continue the vanes inside the barrel across the 'equator' of the barrel thus eliminating the 'corners'. It's a cute little machine and it does make a noise, but that comes with the territory. PS I'm in South Africa. I bought it last year on a visit to Australia.

    Hi there,
Does this Rock Tumbler have a plastic or rubber barrel?

    17-01-2018, 01:59:53 PM

    Hello Paige!

Thank you for your enquiry. The National Geographic Rock Tumbler is a discontinued product and won't be returning back in stock. I'm not too sure about the barrel make up either.

    Kind Regards,
    Tania (Customer Service)
